This journal is locked. It deals heavily with health and medical stuff, motherhood, polyamory, feminism, disableism, body acceptance, spirituality, and pagan stuff, with a helping of random things that amuse me. My mood fluctuates depending on my levels of pain, the weather, and various other factors. My spelling has started to go, as have my memory and dexterity; sometimes I find them funny, other times not so much. The big warning here is that I'm far from perfect and I have different filters from what most people might expect. I'm a work in progress; please be patient with me.

Feeling terrible due to allergies, in case anyone wondered why I haven't been writing. I'm congested and it's making me cough constantly, which makes me tired and makes my entire upper back and shoulders hurt (it's that racking kind of cough), plus my eyes are watery and my brain feels like it's been taken over by mucus.

Also, today was Ben's actual birthday! He got a "doctor set" and spent most of the day pretending to take my blood pressure and temperature, "taking splinters out", giving me "pinches" (shots) and checking my ears and throat. And "cutting" my hair... there was a pair of plastic, non-sharp scissors in the set, and he sat on my shoulders and pulled out hairs until I couldn't take it any more.

Then he gave his binkies shots and took their blood pressure, too. It was adorable. :)

Now I go to bed early, as we have to be in Dyer by 10 am.

Just FYI, I'm doing full ten-card tarot readings for $25 in an effort to raise money for two important things: my son's 4th birthday is coming up, and I'd like to get him some gifts. That's the biggest priority. I also need a new chalice for my altar; I have one picked out, and it's a very reasonable price, but I don't have the money.

Ben's birthday is the 19th; I can wait on gifts until the 24th if necessary, since that's his second party. (We're having separate parties for my family and our friends, due to scheduling issues.) I need the chalice by the 23rd, including shipping time, since that's when I'm getting elevated in the Grove and the chalice is part of the ceremony.

Please help out if you can; if you can't help, but you send people who get readings, I'll give you a free one for every three people who mention your name!

If you're interested, the gifts I'd like to get Ben are a Fisher-Price kids' camera, since he loves to pretend to take pictures, and some sort of music thing, probably a drum (that I'm going to hate, but I might splurge on some earplugs, too!), since he loves music. Or maybe a tape recorder. Something of that nature, anyway. :)
